Location: The Citadel: 171 Moultrie Street Charleston, SC 29406

Date: May 12, 2018

8:00 am - 2:00 pm

Students in grades 4-12 are invited to participate in two fun renewable energy competitions.

KidWind Challenge
The KidWind Challenge is the ultimate wind energy learning experience for students. Find out how middle- and high-school students around the country are exploring wind energy through the hands-on, investigative, and exciting KidWind Challenge!
When students participate in a KidWind Challenge they will:
  • Discover the promise and limitations of wind energy technology
  • Design, build, and test a functional creative wind turbine
  • Compete with their peers in a supportive environment
Learn more about the wind component of the KidWind Renewable Energy Challenge, read the rules, and find learning resources at www.kidwindchallenge.org
Solar House Challenge
There will also be a new pilot challenge around student designed solar houses. We are working up the details of this event -- if you are curious you can check out our online Solar House Challenge.
