The Association of South Carolina Energy Managers (ASCEM) presents annual awards to recognize outstanding achievements of energy managers, projects, and students in South Carolina.
Awards and scholarship applications are due February 15th, 2024.
Energy Manager of the Year Award:
The Association of South Carolina Energy Managers (ASCEM) Energy Manager of the Year Award recognizes the outstanding work of an individual energy professional in the field of energy management. It aims to recognize and encourage the role of those working in the energy management profession, acknowledging both individual achievements in efficient energy practices and the innovative use of energy-saving technologies in the workplace.
Please nominate an individual for the Energy Manager of the Year who:
- has saved energy dollars through innovative energy saving projects within a state agency, school district, or college/university and/or
- has gone above and beyond their job duties to assist in the implementation of energy efficiency measures in the past year.

Energy Project of the Year Award:
The Association of South Carolina Energy Managers ASCEM Energy Project of the Year Award recognizes the outstanding work of an organization to improve their energy management system at their facilities by implementing measures to save energy.
It recognizes the innovative use of energy-saving technologies, which improve energy efficiency and save energy dollars.
Please nominate a public-sector institution (state agency, school district, or college/university) for the Energy Project of the Year Award that has saved energy dollars through energy conservation projects such as through the installation of energy-efficient equipment and/or energy-saving capital improvements.
Please describe the project and the anticipated savings from implementing the energy saving measurements. You may nominate your own project, or you may nominate another public-sector institution.

THE MARK A. MARTIN ASSOCIATION OF SOUTH CAROLINA ENERGY MANAGERS SCHOLARSHIP:
The scholarship is designed to assist ASCEM members with higher education expenses of their family members. The student must be a graduating senior from a South Carolina school and must plan to continue their education in some form after graduation, including but not limited to a college, university, or technical college. Primary consideration is given to the student’s academic effort, leadership ability, and extracurricular activities, without considering financial need.
